Did you know that this year is the Calgary Comic Entertainment Fair 10th anniversary?
The doors of this show will be open from April 16th until April 19th.
The origins of this annual festival take us back to 2006 when it was launched as a book fair comic, and its success was so big that from there it kept on expanding, until 2009 when the show decided to incorporate the presence of actors from prestigious TV series and movies.
In 2012 for the 25th anniversary of the show, the fair reunited the entire crew of the TV show called «Star Trek».
Last year about 100,000 people visited the fair during the four days, where »Doctor Who» opened the ceremony, and the convention was notable for bringing together the team of "Aliens".
The growth and popularity of this event has advanced rapidly. The country's second largest convention has become independent and more revolved around pop culture.
At first the chosen location was the BMO Center, located in the center of Calgary, but currently it is being held at the Stampede Park that has expanded the number of stands and installed additional tents for new exhibits.
It is worth noting that the exhibition starts with a parade at Eau Claire Market and ends at the Olympic Plaza. It is estimated that around 690 people participate in the last parade.
This year we can expect the presence of Stephen Amell, the star of the TV series "Arrow" along with the Ming-Na Wen from the series of Marvel's "Agents of Shield".
Do not miss the opportunity to experience four days full of fun, games, science fiction and comic, where you will have the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with your favorite science fiction characters.
Tickets are on sale from December 1, 2014, and can still be purchased through internet. Here is a website where you can buy them.
