Did you know that Canada will admit almost 1 million immigrants in the next 3 years?

That's right, our country will receive almost one million immigrants in the next three years, according to the semiannual strategy presented by the liberal government in what it calls "the most ambitious levels of immigration in history."

The government plan estimates that the number of economic migrants, family reunification and refugees will be the follow:

- 310,000 in 2018, - 330,000 in 2019, - and then to 340,000 in 2020.

In this regard the Minister of Immigration, Ahmed Hussen said: "that the new objectives will bring Canadian immigration to almost one percent of the population by the year 2020, which will help to compensate the demographic aging".

Five million Canadians are scheduled to retire in the year 2035 and we have fewer people working to support the elderly and in retirement plan".

As an information, let me tell you that, in 1971, there were: 6.6 people of working age for each senior.

In 2012 that proportion was reduced to 4.2 for each senior.

And the projections show that in the year 2036 it will be only 2 people for each senior.

Minister Hussen said: "Immigration is a great tool for our economic growth, because it promotes innovation and strengthens the economy".

In this same instance, he took the opportunity to reject convincingly some assertions that newcomers deplete Canada's resources and become a burden on society.

For that reason, I express that: "the government is also working to reduce delays and expedite the processing of applications in order to reunite families and accelerate citizenship applications".

"Our government believes that newcomers play a vital role in our society and economy."

While the Liberal announcement was not well accepted by all political sectors, the most consistent criticism and related request from the Conservatives was to request the current government greater concern and investment regarding the integration of immigrants once they arrived in Canada.

So that newcomers have access and can receive the tools they need to succeed once they settle in the Canadian territory.

In the same way, they requested that the immigration system focus on helping immigrants, to integrate them through language efficiency and support plans, emphasizing mental health for people who are victims of trauma.

Now, if the number of immigrants is increasing, the Canadian Council of Refugees called for calm, because the increase recorded was called by themselves as "light", because only step from 13% this year to 14% in each one of the next three years, with the economic or working class reaching the highest figure, registering one: "60% of the newcomers".
